Safety & privacy

Verified enough to trust. Private enough to relax.

Knowing someone lives on your street shouldn't mean handing them your flat number.

What neighbours see

We verify your address. We don't publish it.

Visible to neighbours

Your first name and last initial, your block or wing, your colony name, and anything you choose to write in your profile.

Never visible to anyone

Your flat number, your phone number, your email, the document you verified with, and your exact location. Businesses see none of this either.

Not on Google

Nothing posted inside a colony feed is public or indexed by search engines. There is no public profile page.

No contact scraping

We never ask for your contact list, and we don't sell or share personal data with advertisers.

Leave cleanly

Delete your account and your posts, replies and verification documents go with it, within 30 days.

Moderation

Run by residents, backed by us.

Every colony has two to five volunteer moderators who live there. They handle the day-to-day. Our team handles anything serious, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam and English.

  • Report any post in two taps, anonymously
  • Serious reports โ€” threats, harassment, doxxing โ€” escalate to our team immediately
  • Politics and religion are kept out of the main feed by policy, not by mood
  • Repeated breaches remove the address, not just the account

Community guidelines

Seven rules, and we mean all of them.

These aren't buried in the terms. They're the whole deal.

Be a neighbour first

You will meet these people at the gate. Write like it.

Use your real name

The one your neighbours would recognise. Pseudonyms and joke names get removed.

Never accuse in public

If you believe a crime has happened, call the police. Do not post photos of people you suspect, and do not describe them by community, religion or region.

Post it where it belongs

A block problem doesn't need 4,000 people. Choose the smallest radius that solves your problem.

Don't share what isn't yours

No phone numbers, addresses, vehicle plates, CCTV stills or photos of children other than your own.

Say if you're selling

Recommending your own business without saying so is the fastest way to lose your page.

Leave politics and religion out

There are a hundred places online for that argument. This is where you find out about the water tanker.
